The Litetronics Neolite (shown) is an ENERGY STAR qualified T2 CFL with an MOL of only 3.42-4.5 inches. Neolite contains only 1 milligram of mercury and is made with lead-free solder and glass, making it the safest CFL for the environment, says the company. It also contains a premium coating that produces up to 70 lumens per watt. With a 10,000-hour life, Neolite is available in 10, 13, 15, 20 and 23W models in 2700, 4100, and 5000K. In addition, Litetronics' Plug-in Compact Fluorescent Tube (PFT) lamps are pin-based compact fluorescent lamps that can use 80 percent less energy than incandescents and last 13 times as long, says the company. The two-pin starter lamps work with magnetic ballasts, while the four-pin starter models are for use with electronic ballasts. The two-pin PFT lamps have a 10,000 hour average rated life, and the four-pin lamps boast a 15,000 hour average rated life.
