JT921 HDD unit

Ditch Witch's horizontal directional drilling (HDD) unit, the JT921, uses a 50hp Caterpillar engine to make short- to medium-length service line installations with pilot bores up to 4 inches and backream diameters up to 8 inches, depending on soil conditions. Featuring greater thrust and pullback power, the JT921 includes the drilling unit itself, trailer, downhole tools, drill pipe and fluid-management system. It also comes standard with an electronic system that provides tracker control, which is used to disable drill thrust and rotation at the drill-string exit side for changing tooling and connecting installed product to the drill string.
