Steel City GO Box

Thomas & Betts' Steel City GO Box is a single-gang outlet box with grip-on clamps that eliminate the need for fasteners and tools to attach the box to residential wood studs, which substantially reduces installation time and labor costs. The design enables the installer to push the box onto the stud as the clamps secure the box in place. The overall time required to install the GO Box is 60 percent less than traditional nail-on boxes, eliminating fatigue from swinging a hammer. The clamps also allow for easy repositioning, offering flexibility in installing boxes on a job site. Constructed of polycarbonate, the GO Box features 23 cubic inches of capacity, to accommodate large devices and allow easy installation of wiring. It also includes a locator hole in the mounting bracket for easy positioning on a marked stud. The GO Box meets UL Standard 514C and is rated for use in a two-hour firewall in compliance with UL Standard 263.
