Medium 3R Enclosure Perforated Panels
Conventional solid panels are often shipped independent of components for conduit connections to be completed and wire pulled during the rough-in stage. At the appropriate stage of construction, panels and components can be shipped. This allows contractors to sequence work effectively - saving time and money - while avoiding potential component damage during rough-in. Hoffman developed and offers an alternative to solid panel enclosures - the perforated panel. Perforated panels save assembly time by eliminating the need to measure, mark and drill the component hole patterns required of traditional solid panels. Typically, mounting on a perforated panel is about three times faster. Most components can be mounted simply by aligning the components' mounting patterns with the panel's hole pattern and fastening with self-tapping fasteners. Perforated panels provide flexibility for productive and efficient work planning. Contractors can easily mount control components on the fly in the field. Even outdoor jobs during inclement weather may advance because panels can be done in a controlled indoor environment and later brought to the field for installation.
