The ECON solution is Cooper Lighting's system approach to provide lamp, ballast, and luminaire design to deploy further advancements in the latest High Intensity Discharge (HID) lighting technologies. ECON technology provides the highest metal halide HID lumen maintenance, the longest HID lamp life, the highest sustained system efficacy, superior color rendering and a lower operating and maintenance cost. Studies show that lamp life improves as much as 50 percent at the industry standard morality rate. More importantly, at the current published life ratings of 20,000 hours, the ECON technology has an 80 percent survival rate at 10-hour starting cycles, which reduces the cost of the lighting system by extending the group relamping cycle. Lumen maintenance gains are over 38 percent when compared to the Probe Start MH and CWA magnetic ballasted systems, bringing HID technology on par with fluorescent technologies used in indoor environments installed today.
