Universal Lighting Technologies' Basic-12 electronic ballasts for T12 lamps reduce energy consumption by more than 20 percent compared to traditional magnetic T12 ballasts. Plus, Basic-12 ballasts fully comply with the new federal ballast efficiency requirements for installation into new fixtures as well as with the 2010 requirements for replacement ballasts. Basic-12 provides the same amount of light as a magnetic T12 ballast, wires the same, and has identical mounting dimensions. However, the Basic-12 ballast is smaller and lighter, making it easier to install in a fixture's ballast channel. With reduced operating costs and significantly quieter operation, Basic-12 ballasts are ideal for replacement of failed magnetic ballasts during fixture maintenance or as part of an energy-saving retrofit.
