T5 HO Safety Lamps

Shat-R-Shield re-launched its line of T5 high output fluorescent lamps with a new coating that performs better than any other T5 HO safety lamp, the company notes. Because T5 lamps give off more heat and UV rays than other high output fluorescents, those conditions have made safety coatings deteriorate quickly, increasing risks in the event of breakage. Shat-R-Shield developed a new FEP (Tetrafluorethylene/ Hexafluoroproylene CoPolymer) coating that contains all glass and vapors when broken. According to Shat-R-Shield, the new T5 HO lamps are easier to maintain because they do not need shatterproof sleeves, which can also reduce lumen output.
