Long-Arm Cable Cutter

IDEAL Industries added three new long-arm cable cutters to its product family. The hand-operated cutters are designed to shear-cut insulated aluminum and copper electrical or telephone cables of diameters up to 1000 MCM. Drop forged, high-strength blades and precision-ground jaws assure crisp, clean cuts with minimal distortion of internal wires or frayed ends. To prevent slippage, the contoured blades grab and hold the cable during cutting. Blades can be sharpened, plus replacement blades are available from IDEAL. Fitted with soft, comfortable grips, the cutter's tubular arms allow the user to smoothly cut cable from virtually any position, providing needed leverage and a secure hold.
