Speedbor

IRWIN Industrial Tools redesigned its Speedbor spade bit to drill holes faster and cleaner than the previous design. The new design features the Blue Groove parabolic scoop in the head of the bit, allowing more efficient removal of wood chips from the hole. A larger, sharper cutting edge works in tandem with the parabolic scoop to deliver holes four times faster than a standard spade bit. The bit also cuts versus scrapes the wood, resulting in a cleaner hole. For increased durability, the bit's shank is 10 percent larger than the previous design. Speedbor spade bits are available in a range of sizes.
