LANTEK 6A Cable Certifier

IDEAL INDUSTRIES' LANTEK 6A, the first cable certifier available to specifically test Category 6a and ISO Class Ea (augmented) UTP and STP cabling, is expected to be ratified by the Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) and International Organization for Standardization (ISO) early next year. Combining IDEAL's signature innovation and userfriendliness, the LANTEK 6A offers a sweeping frequency up to 500 MHz so it can accurately test 10 Gigabit Ethernet (10GBASE-T) networks to assure that they meet the transmission parameters of IEEE 802.3an. 10GBASE-T provides data speeds up to 10 billion bits per second, and is expected to be used extensively to interconnect LANs/WANs and metropolitan area networks.
