LE&AP

The Digital Home Entertainment Network known as Leviton Entertainment and Applications Platform (LE&AP), a co-marketed device from Leviton Manufacturing and Dedicated Devices, Inc. (DDi), has been enhanced with new features and options to create a more user-friendly media library. LE&AP, a built-in media server, providing central storage, back-up and playback of digital music, video and photos throughout the home, now features up to four Media Modules that increase the available storage and streaming capacity to over one terabyte. The two companies also simplified and accelerated the management of complex digital media libraries with AcitvLink Media Management improving the organization and backup of multiple users' digital media by automatically harvesting existing digital media from every desktop and laptop computer in the home, then watching those computers and automatically copying any new content as it is added. ActivLink also integrates with the newly built-in Gracenote Intelligent Playlist Engine. If the file happens to be digital music, AcivLink, activates Gracenote MusicID to properly identify each song's information, gathers additional metadata for easy creation of playlists and formats the file for easy access and navigation from any TV interface in the home. The award-winning product also now incorporates RealNetworks' Rhapsody online music service. With a LE&AP system and a Rhapsody subscription, homeowners will have easy access to their personalized Rhapsody library from any room of the house.
